Tarsa Weikert for Corvallis City Council

In 2026, Tarsa graduated from Leadership Corvallis, a program that educates and inspires community members to understand our community and actively shape its future. The experience strengthened Tarsa’s knowledge of local issues and commitment to serving Corvallis.

Since 2025, Tarsa has served on the City of Corvallis Planning Commission, helping review development proposals, provide recommendations on planning policies, and engage with community members on the future of Corvallis. The Planning Commission plays an important role in shaping land use, transportation planning, and responsible community growth.

Since May 2024, Tarsa was elected as a Precinct Committee Person with Benton County Democrats, contributing to local civic engagement efforts and helping strengthen community involvement.

In the May 2023 election, Tarsa served on the PAC for Measure 2-140, supporting investments to strengthen Benton County’s health, safety, and support systems.

The measure focused on expanding mental health services, creating a Navigation Center for people experiencing homelessness, improving emergency response, and funding a new Community Safety & Justice Campus, including a safer courthouse and improved jail facilities with treatment and recovery services.

Helping others helps all of us.

In the November 2023 election, Tarsa supported Measure 2-141 by helping design campaign materials, develop messaging, and advocate for essential Corvallis community services.

The measure protected funding for the library, Parks & Recreation programs, Osborn Aquatic Center, the Majestic Theatre, community centers, and organizations supporting vulnerable residents.

This spring 2026, Tarsa volunteered at the Oregon State University Career Fair, interviewing high school students as they explored their future career paths.

Investing in the next generation is investing in our community. Taking time to encourage, support, and listen to young people helps build a stronger future for everyone.

In fall 2025, Tarsa joined United Way’s Days of Caring, helping plant trees at Jasper Pond in Eugene, Oregon.

Giving back to our communities and protecting our environment go hand in hand. Tarsa believes that caring for Oregon’s natural spaces today helps create a healthier, stronger future for generations to come.

In summer 2026, Tarsa helped organize a donation drive through her law firm to support Vina Moses and students going Back-to-School.

The community came together to collect 190 dental care, grooming, and hygiene supplies to help local students start the school year prepared and supported.
